Staff were efficient and courteous. Room was clean and was sufficient for the purpose (1 night stay). The continental breakfast was good and well presented - the area was refreshed with breads, meats, cereals on a regular basis.
The room was freezing when I arrived and the policy of having the guests switch on the heating should be revised - staff know which rooms are being used and should be able to arrange for the heating to be switched on prior to a guest arriving. The Hot water and Coffee served in the dining room was tepid, it did not improve when the staff member went to renew it upon request.

Compact room, bright, with comfortable beds. Smooth check-in, marvellous location really close to Cardiff and centre. For tea or coffee visit Santamaria nearby. Great choice for weekend.

Right in the centre of the city perfect if you're going to the rugby.
Needs money spending on it. Bathroom conditions poor and cheap laminate floor to reception and rooms is not very warm and inviting

It has an excellent location for shopping and nightlife.
The Bar staff and Night Manager were rude and had a terrible attitude, this was not acceptable, which w3e made clear to them. At the hotel bar there was no gas in the lager pumps, we pointed this out, the staff were uninterested, did not even apologise or offer substitute, clearly they do not have customer relations training. Our room was fairly clean, but the duvet cover had mererly been put inside out instead of it being changed. mould, dirt and hairs were around the bath taps. Reception on 2nd floor would not be a problem if the lift worked, this was out of order.

Was not aware of the bars and pubs below which was a big concern when I saw the hotel. Also had a complimentary upgrade which was a lovely surprise. Stunning hotel and it made our weekend.
Saturday night we cam back after a meal and a few drinks so it was quite late and we had to step over drunken yobs who were spread across the entrance. They were drinking, asleep and agressive. We even had to wrestle with a girl who tried to sneak in behind us when the door was open. She clearly wasn't staying there as reception were denying her access. This was a huge shame as it means I could never recommend the hotel to family as this situation would upset them and find it intimidating.

Excellent place with excellent wi-fi, 24-hour reception, and a cozy bar lounge. I remember how the staff helped my elderly parents on my first stay. Their friendly attitude makes a difference. Tip, Don't miss the breakfast!

Charming, Charming, Charming
I was smitten with the charming ambiance, particularly the historical Captain Scott Room where we enjoyed breakfast filled with fresh fruits and delicious pastries. The Cinema Room with its retro vibes gave us the perfect cozy escape after a day of exploring. With friendly staff were pretty good, it seemed like a warm hug throughout our stay!
recommend ❤️✨

Booked a double room with my wife, was looking forward as the pictures look really nice on the website! But alas, it was disappointing! upon checking in, we noticed that our room has no windows! A small and horrible dark internal room with no windows. We were told some rooms have no windows. You will get rooms randomly and no guarantee that your room would have windows when booking online. It was also very noisy, till midnight!!
